Multimedia Signal Processing

A modern communications system must be able to register, transfer and present a mixture of different information types such as text, graphics, sound, speech, music, images and video. The main profile Multimedia Signal Processing deals with the processing of this information in an effective and user-friendly manner. This applies to all segments of the communication system, i.e. in applications concerned with recordings and storage (e.g. compacting techniques, transfer standards), performing searches in databases, and in man–machine communication. This profile contains courses specialized within signal processing, image processing, speech technology, music technology, and communication.

Courses

The table gives an overview of courses included in the mail profile Multimedia Signal Processing. For more information regarding the classes that are included in each field of concentration, please refer to the “Study Handbook” (Norwegian only).
