What we offer

BIO have one master's program with seven options for specialization. BIO also have an integrated Master Programme in Aquamedicine.

The various programs and specializations have different objectives and content, and contains some common and some different topics.

You can read more about the different specializations in the section below.

From autumn 2014, the Master's program at the Department of Biology was altered and rearranged. There will still be opportunities to take master in directions that we have had in the past, but all are now organized in a master's program in biology.

MSc in Biology:

Geobiology is no longer a study programme option, but it is possible to specialize in Geobiology under microbiology and marine biology. Nutrition is also closed, but it is possible to specialize in nutrition in many of the other disciplines - especially aquaculture biology.

All MSc students have the course BIO300 Biological data analysis and research design as a mandatory part of their study.
