How to become an exchange student at UiB
Are you planning on spending one or two semesters at the University of Bergen (UiB) next academic year? We will do our best to give you the information you need in this process!

Deadlines
Exchange students applying for admission to UiB must remember to complete their application online within the deadline 15 May. Before you can apply you must me nominated by your home university.
All exchange students are guaranteed student accommodation given that you apply within this same date.
Offer of Admission
Most Letters of Acceptance are sent out in the period 1 June to 1 July. If you are a non-EU/EEA/EFTA student, we will process your application as fast as we can, so that you will have enough time to apply for your residence permit to Norway!
Before Arrival
You probably have a lot of questions for instance about semester start, courses and student life in Bergen. Many of your questions can be answered by having a look at our website Before Arrival. We will also send you an e-mail in July, preparing you for semester start up.
We also encourage all new international students to take part in the Introductory Programme from 7-12 August!
Student Life
Bergen has a great student life and many student organisations you can join. Study Bergen arrange a lot of different events for international and Norwegian students throughout the year.
