Safety delegates
Safety delegates represent all employees in working environment matters. The safety delegates has a supervisory role, as well as being an important collaborator for the Line Managemet.
Safety delegates at UiB are divided into three levels:
- The University's chief Safety delegate
- Safety delegates at faculties
- Local Safety delegates

Facilitating and collaboration between Line Managers and Safety delegates
Safety delegates is an important support for the Line Management, and collaborate with them in order to secure a safe and well-functioning working environment for all employees. The Line Management at all levels are responsible for involving Safety delegates at all arenas where the working environment is a topic.

Election
At UiB Safety delegates at all levels is elected. Safety delegates are elected for a period of 2 years. Current Safety delegates are elected for the period of 2013-2014.
