My research focuses on public international law; the interplay between international human rights-, humanitarian-, and refugee law; law and anthropology; international legal method; critical human rights; and socio-legal approaches.
I am currently a researcher on the project Migration to Norway: Flows and Regulations (http://samfunnsforskning.no/Prosjekter/Samarbeidsprosjekter/Migration-to-Norway-Flows-and-regulation). In 2012, I defended my PhD dissertation Protecting Civilians in Refugee Camps. Issues of Responsibility and Lessons from Uganda. I hold a degree in international law from the University of Örebro, and have studied Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University. I have international experience from sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
