Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie (1778-1849). A Biography.

Christie was a civil servant and judge who was a member of the Norwegian constitutional assembly of 1814 and especially rose to fame during negotiations in the autumn of that year, securing a large degree of autonomy for Norway within the union with Sweden. The biography will cover the whole life of Christie, but his role as founder of Bergen Museum (1825) will be especially important, and will be seen in relation to the history of museums and science in a European perspective. The biography will be in Norwegian.
