One important motivation for our research is to develop better weather forecasts and to further our understanding of atmospheric processes on different space and time scales. In addition, we also work on improvement of measuring techniques, to obtain valuable data for studies of the physical processes in the atmosphere. Studies of solar and terrestrial radiation are also important aspects of our research.

What happens after the studies?
The weather influences energy resources and the cost of electricity. In BKK I take part in improving decision making tools for power production. Our aim is to optimize the use of resources, with regard to both economy and the benefit to society.
