The Renal Research group is involved in epidemiological work using mainly the Norwegian Kidney Biopsy register. The main objective in this field of research has been to discover markers of early development of chronic renal failure at the time of renal biopsy. Close collaboration with the Medical Birth Registry of Norway and the Cancer Registry of Norway have been developed the last 15 years.
