Call for posters

Call for posters has opened for the conference "USING NATURAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT”.

NB! The Call for posters deadline has now expired!

You are invited to submit an abstract to the International Conference on UNESCO Conventions (Deadline January 10, 2014).

In addition to invited keynote presentations, there will be time in the plenary sessions for contributed oral papers, and there will be a designated poster area next to the main auditorium. Posters will be available throughout the duration of the conference. A reception will be held in the poster area with ample time for poster viewing and discussions.

I would be delighted if you would consider submitting an abstract. Abstracts are invited for the whole range of topics covered by the conference. In addition to overview talks we invite poster or oral presentations of specific examples, case studies or activities that you have been involved in and experiences you want to share, within the following topics:

1. Synergies between conventions and between conventions and other mechanisms

2. The relation between tangible and intangible heritage,

and link between nature and culture

3. Perspectives, conflicts and synergies in managing natural and cultural values

4. What works in practice? From knowledge to action

When submitting an abstract, please note if you are interested in displaying a poster only, or if the programme committee is free to schedule your contribution for either poster or oral presentation. We may accept posters and oral papers before the deadline 10 January and promise feedback within 18 January.
