Developing leadership functions with clear roles and responsibilities in all parts of the organisation is an important strategic priority area for UiO. One of the follow-up measures is a number of initiatives within leadership and organisational development.
Leadership development programmes
The leadership development programmes aim at clarifying the leadership role and developing leadership skills and personal qualities. Currently, three types of programmes are offered:
Skill courses
Skill courses aim to increase the awareness of skills, to provide knowledge about them and to improve specific skills that are important in various leadership roles. Examples of these can be communication training or conflict handling.
Organisational development
The Department of Personnel Support offers persons in leadership roles at the departments tailor-made assistance with various challenges at the work place within e.g. change leadership, reorganisation, motivational and decision-making processes, team development, prevention of conflicts and conflict handling.
External collaborative partners
To assist UiO in organisational development, a framework agreement has been signed with seven external consultancy firms in the fields of leadership and organisational development. Should you or your unit need assistance in these fields, consultants from one or more of our external collaborative partners may be used.
