Apple Mail and Spam

I've used Apple Mail for a week, and I think the user interface is its biggest drawback. More functionality at the keyboard, please. But its spam filtering is really good. I dumped 100 emails from one of my spam-infected email accounts, and used that to teach the filters (in learning mode the spam will be marked as spam but is kept in the inbox). Then I downloaded approx 4000 emails from that account, and I got less than 100 emails in my inbox. Approx 60 of these were not spam, meaning that only 1% of the spam ended up in my inbox. Only one message marked as spam was not spam (from Avis, so it included a lot of pictures and html). And the filter is improving when you recognize new spam (or you recognize emails marked as spam that are not spam). MacDevCenter.com has a series of articles describing spam and spam management i Apple Mail. Paul Graham also has a plan for spam.
