VNC server on your Mac

I need to access my Mac remotly from non-Mac computers (Windows). Security (access control and privacy) and firewalls between the two computers are an issue, so tunneling using ssh seems to be a good option. On my Mac I installed OSXvnc. I configured to use diaplay 1 and only accept local conections. I also configured it to start up at boot time. On my other (Windows) computer I installed the free VNC client from RealVNC. How to set up a ssh tunnel is described in this document. I've installed ssh (and a lot of other stuff) on my Windows computer using Cygwin. If you need a VNC client for your mac, Chicken of the VNC is often recommended.
