How to create a new empty document in the current folder on a Mac (from Finder)
Our new home computer is an iMac, and since some of its users are used to create new empty documents in the current folder using the menu, I had to find a way to do it on the Mac. I actually found two solutions. The first one, Document Palette ($8) from Cold Pizza Software, fits my typical use (keyboard based). The second one, NuFile (free), is more similar to the Windows way of doing things. To make a happy family I installed both. [via]
