Access NTFS from a mac

How to get access to NTFS from mac is described in this posting. First you need MacFUSE, that makes it possible to implement a fully functional file system in a user-space program on Mac OS X (API-compliant with the Linux FUSE [File-system in USErspace] mechanism). Then you need the NTFS-3G Read/Write Driver, an open source freely available NTFS driver for Linux with read and write support. I installed MacFUSE from the available dmg file, and then followed the instractions for NTFS-3G Read/Write above. [via]

Update: I didn't get NTFS-3G to compile on my mac, but I didn't struggle a lot. Maybe some day.

Update: Also see this lengthy How To on getting started with MacFUSE. [via]
