General description
BUGS (Bayesian inference Using Gibbs Sampling) is a piece of computer software for the Bayesian analysis of complex statistical models using Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods. BUGS is perhaps best known from WinBUGS. OpenBUGS is an open-source implementation of BUGS, and supports most of the features of WinBUGS.
Input file format
The main input is a file containing BUGS commands. Other files may also be uploaded. They will be placed in the running directory (.) of the main input file. Output files may also be made here.
An example dataset, illustrating reading and writing of files: bugs.txt ratsdata.txt ratsinits.txt ratsmodel.txt
Files can't have the same name as files in the OpenBUGS runtime. If you get a name collision, the job won't run, and you wil get a file named NAME_ERROR_ILLEGAL_FILENAME_$datafile where $datafile is the problematic filename.
Output file format
The console output from BUGS is in the file openbugs.log. The job view also contains files made by your script.
