I am working at the Life Cycle Assessment laboratory (LCA Lab) and hold a Masters' degree in Chemical Engineering with Industrial Ecology as field of specialty. My thesis was on life cycle assessment of hydrogen production from nuclear power.

Despite the name, my work has nothing to do with what is normally associated with the term "laboratory"; it is, however, concentrated around LCA-related activities in the Industrial Ecology Programme as well as the rest of the university. I give some guest lectures about LCA in various courses at the university, as well as maintaining the LCA software package we use, Simapro.

Together with Anders Hammer Strømman, I have worked with life cycle assessment of natural gas based fuel chains. I have also been involved in sustainable consumption in relation to car sharing. Currently I'm working on creating industrial symbiosis at Mongstad. I also work with the methodology of hybrid LCA and look into life cycle impacts of wood based residential heating and forestry.

In my spare time I do climbing.
