Website on School Bullying

A Website on School Bullying and Violence is now available for everyone who seeks information on the subject. The Website was launched as a result of a joint effort by the OECD, Norway and 19 participating countries.

The new website provides you with information concerning re-search, practice and policy in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Norway is the international co-ordinator for the network.

The aim of the network is to stimulate and support more effective measures against school bullying and violence. It is also of great importance to disseminate information and organize communica-tion between countries on relevant issues within the area of school bullying and violence.

The ambition for the website is to gain reputation as a main re-ference on policy, practice and research for national and local authorities, schools as well as researchers.

The website and the international network has its outcome from the conference ‘Taking Fear out of Schools’ that was held in Stavanger, Norway in September 2004.
