The Centre for Behavioural Research

The Centre for Behavioural Research is both a research centre within the University of Stavanger as well as a national resource center working with preschools and schools throughout Norway.

The centre’s main goals are to produce research based knowledge on the development of social and emotional problems and how preschools and schools can effectively reduce and prevent prob-lems among children and adolescents.

The CBR is currently staffed with about 22 researchers.

CBR carries out national representative surveys of School Envir-onment (questionnaires among students, teachers, principals) every 3 years and has accumulated an extensive database since 1995 (1995-1998-2001-2004-).
