VOCS is a co-operation project between InterMedia and Powersim AS. Powersim is a consultant company that develops simulation modelling software based on the principles of system dynamics- a methodology for studying and managing complex feedback systems, such as one finds in economical, social and ecological systems. System dynamics study the interdependence of the different variables of a system, and how problem behaviour could be understood and predicted by exploring a system's underlying structure. The VOCS project aims to develop simulation modelling software, such as simulation games, where the link between structure and behaviour in a system can be visualised through the use of animation or video.
