Lecture/ seminar plan MPCT 302 autumn 2003:

Dear students,

This is the revised lecture plan in detail.

Please find here parts of Galtung's book

The main pillars of teaching this autumn are:

1. MA Seminar: This is a series where students
present their MA projects, their work from
June-October, their discoveries, and their
proposals for development/solution/ transformation
of the problem or conflict they are working with/
analyzing. Teachers (supervisor +) and students
comment these papers, and present proposals for
improvements. Note: This will be organized so that
3-4 students, preferably those who specialize in
the same field of peace studies (e.g. Peace
Education, Globalization/Comparative Politics,
State/Minority relations, or organized according
to conflict region, etc) listen to and comment
each others’ presentations. The success of this is
dependent on cooperation between students. Each
student: 1 hour + (possibly x 2 times if the
problematique justifies it).

2. 3 Workshops / Seminars on conflict resolution w/
invited guest lecturers: 28-30 Oct, 6-7 Nov-
