Dear students at group 2002-2004,

at the staff meeting today we discussed some aspects of your final exam this spring.

Sumission of thesis
The submission date for your thesis is set to be 18. May 2004.

Layout of the thesis
Detailed information will be available soon.

Oral examination
We are planning to arrange the oral examinations within weeks 24 and 25 (can't be more specific at the moment).

The oral examination starts with short summaries of the thesis by the student and the external examiner. The following discussion will take its point of departure in these summaries, stick to the topic of the thesis, but also include a discussion of the literature used as well as theoretical and methodological problems/aspects connected to the thesis. Generally you should be prepared to discuss any problems or aspects naturally related to your thesis or the literature/theories/methods chosen with the external and internal examiners.

Postpone exam
It will not be possible to arrange exams at the beginning of the autumn semester 2004 if anybody have to postpone the submission of the thesis.
