Dear All
The Education Sector of UNESCO has initiated a global dialogue on the role of textbooks and educational media in promoting peace, human rights and gender equality and invites researchers, authors and users of textbooks and educational media to participate in a Discussion Forum on Textbook Development. The overall intention of the discussion is to identify ways of transforming ideas into action.
Participants will be asked to post comments and suggestions, and the conversation will continue for a period of approximately three weeks starting Tuesday, 25 September 2007.
The primary language of the conversation will be English, but you are welcome to post your comments and responses in French or Spanish.
If you would like to join the conversation, please register at http://www.unesco.org/education/en/textbook/forum/. You are also welcome to recommend colleagues in the field of textbook research, development or use by simply forwarding this email.
UNESCO looks forward to your participation in this online consultation, and will be at your disposal for any additional information you may need. You can find contact information for UNESCO at the bottom of this e-mail
Sincerely yours,
Clio
