Contents The course covers main issues in medical informatics, including medical computing, standards, health informatics, ICT in health-care, medical computing applications, ethics, the future of medical informatics.

Form of teaching Lectures: 30 hours, Colloquium: 30 hours, Laboratory: 30 hours. The coursework includes up to 3 written assignments graded Pass/Fail. Oral presentation of the assignments and demonstration of a working system can be claimed. Approved assignments give access to the final written exam.

Coursework requirements The coursework includes up to 3 written assignments graded Pass/Fail.

Exam and assessment 4 hours written exam. Grade by letter A-F.

Date(s) of written examination 12.12.2007 The exam date is preliminary and may be subject to change. Definitive exam date will be announced on the notice boards at the faculties in the beginning of May for the spring semester and in the beginning of November for the autumn semester.
