Working in Norway
As a general rule, everyone who wishes to work in Norway must have a work permit. Work includes all types of job or commercial activity, paid or unpaid.
As a student at a recognized institution at a higher university level in Norway, you are normally granted a part-time work permit with the first time-residence permit. When applying for a renewal of the student permit you need to enclose a statement from your educational provider that the work is not considered to interfere with your studies.
