Medical biochemistry
The major resarch projects focus on biochemical and genetic studies on enzymes related to cancer and to diseases of metabolism, and studies on lipids, lipoproteins and heart diseases. The Department is closely associated with the Department of Clinical Chemistry at the University Hospital of Tromsø.KONTAKT:

The major teaching duties of the Department are chemistry, biochemistry and medical biochemistry for medical and dentistry students, and medical biochemistry for master students in biology. We welcome students that are interested in doing their master thesis in our lab.
