Research

Initially research within the field of dentistry will be organised round the basic disciplines in collaboration with the Medical Faculty.

Plans for projects with an odontological perspective are currently in progress and will be presented under the News section of this web page as soon as they are ready. Furthermore, the faculty aims to organise research in the field of community dentistry targeting the issues of the public health sector (at-risk patients, minorities and regional research in the northern part of the country, emphasizing collaboration across the Barents-region particularly with Arkhangelsk). We hope to be able to perform clinical research and establish cooperation between the university clinic and The Regional Competence Centre for Dentistry. The projects must be planned in cooperation with present and future members of the faculty. Facilities and equipment are included in the plans for the new Institute of Odontology
