About the PS-portal
|
Most people experiences ups and downs in their lives. This applies to students as well. Being a student is a positive experience, meeting new people, facing exciting challenges and learning about your own interests and skills. However, everyday life as a student can also be problematic. |
| PS stands for psychosocial services and deals with psychological, social and existential subjects. Lately, the focus on students with mental and social problems has increased. Sometimes you can handle your problems on you own, or with help from family and friends. But sometimes the problems are too big and hard to handle.
Everyone has a mental health that it is vital to take care of, and as the physical health the mental health can sometimes be poor.
PS-portal is an offer for those who has questions relating to mental health and social and existential subjects.
The main idea behind the PS-portal is to have a place to turn to, somewhere to find information and meet with other students who share your interests. By establishing the PS-portal we wish to create a safe arena where you in a community can get your questions answered and share your experiences with other students.
The University and the University College of Tromsø have decided to collaborate on the PS-portal.
Services In addition to the Student Counselling, the student chaplain and the Psyc-help, you will find other current issues relating to mental health, different social and existential subjects, resources on the Internet and news. In the PS-portal you will also find an open forum. Here you can raise questions about things that concern you in every-day life and receive viewpoints and tips from others. You will find more information on the PS-forum in the menu on the left.
