  • Among the disciplinary programmes you'll find sociology, history etc. All the disciplinary bachelor programmes qualify for Master level in the same discipline. Within each programme there is a conciderable freedom of choice regarding individual courses (60 credits, ECTS) - also from other disciplines -this enhancing the possibilities for satisfying the individual preferences within each programme.

The inter-disciplinary programmes are generally more comprehensively designed from the outset. They are oriented towards social problems or tematic subjects where numerous disciplines are mobilized to broaden the analysis. One example of such a programme is "the Multi-cultural Norway in past and present"

Those who do not want to enlist into any of these programmes, can enter into one-term /one-year programmes or singular courses. Singular courses are normally credited with 10 or 20 credits - ECTS, and there are individual exams for each course. Course combinations are a given set of such courses. Each individual course is also a part of bachelor- og masterprogramme.
