Data in Cerebrum

Cerebrum is both an ID management and a group management system. The most important concepts are organizational unit (OU), person, user and group.

• A person is connected to an OU.
• A user is connected to a person.
• Groups can contain any of the above mentioned, including other groups.

Data about person

• Name
• Date of birth
• Unique ID (e.g. social security number)
• Adresse(s)
• Contact information

Data about user

• Connection to the organisation
• User name (for authentication)
• Password (for authentication)
• Group memberships (for authorization)

Data about organisational unit

• Faculty
• Department
• Administration
• etc.
