NorFA Nordic Network

General information

The ESR-laboratory at Department of Physics, University of Oslo has since 1992 been one party in a Nordic Network for EPR spectroscopy, financed by The Nordic Academy of Research Education (NorFA). Initially four laboratories were involved in this Network. The principal investigator (PI) was Anders Lund at the Linköping University, Sweden, the other participants were Heikki Joela at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, Jens Arne Pedersen and Jørgen Byberg at Aarhus University, Denmark, and Einar Sagstuen at the University of Oslo, Norway.

Under this collaboration three very successful workshops were arranged - in Linköping, Jyväskylä and in Sandbjerg, near to Aarhus. In addition to participants from the four laboratories, several invited EPR spectrosopists from the Nordic countries were invited, together with some internationally well recognized experts who gave plenary talks. Several PhD student exchange visits for up to two moths duration were also arranged using network funds as well as exchange visits of laboratory staff and faculty.

Due to the success of this Network, it was decided to apply for a new and substantially enlarged network from 1996, with the ESR Laboratory in Oslo as the PI this time. This application was fully granted, and the present WWW page represents one of the ways we wish to communicate information to participants and other about this new network. On this page Newsletters, important information, meeting advertisements and similar issues will be posted.
