UNIVERSITY OF ST. GALLEN
ST. GALLEN Rolling hills, snowy peaks and Lake Constance form the panaorama surrounding St. Gallen (pop. 70,000). Founded in 610 St. Gallen later became famous for its Abbey Library, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historical background lends the city and its old town a special atmosphere characterized by narrow pedestrian streets, quaint shops, and cozy bars and restaurants. Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein are so close that you can see them from many nearby hilltops.
UNIVERSITY OF ST. GALLEN The University of St. Gallen (USG) overlooks the city and is within easy walking distance to the center of town. It organised into four departments of Economics, Law, Humanities, and Management and concentrates on education in business, public administration, and law. As one of Europe’s smaller universities with 5000 students, it is home to Switzerland’s largest business faculty. According to Wikipedia.org, St.Gallen is famous for its university, ostensibly “the number one school for business and management in German-speaking Europe and one of the top addresses worldwide”.
