Växjö University

VÄXJÖ UNIVERSITY

VÄXJÖ
Växjö in Småland, Southern Sweden, is home to 76,000 people. Although you can sense its long history in the city centre, the pervasive atmosphere is one of youthfulness. Växjö is expanding, unemployment is low and the level of education is high. And everything is within cycling distance – the locals care about the environment and their health. Växjö is surrounded by lakes and it a great place for sports and recreation the whole year around. And when you tire of that, it is only a short way to Denmark, Stockholm or even Oslo.

VÄXJÖ UNIVERSITY (VXU)
Växjö University is a young university characterized by pioneer spirit, creativity and openness to new challenges within research, postgraduate and undergraduate education. The VXU has 14.500 students, 1000 staff and some 700 foreign students. Växjö University offers education at seven different Schools of Management and Economics; the Humanities; Technology and Design; Education; Social Sciences; Health Sciences and Social Work; and Mathematics and Systems Engineering.
