Bodø Graduate School of Business takes great pleasure in inviting you to the fourth Qualitative Camp doctoral course in Henningsvær, Lofoten, 31st July - 4th August 2006. The conference is designed to make students familiar with different aspects, approaches and traditions of qualitative research methods and design, and to discuss this in relation to their own research projects. The course covers issues within the field of business/management/social science research. The conference will combine plenary and group sessions – and perhaps most important – ample opportunities for informal discussion. We are very proud to present the following faculty:

In addition to plenary sessions - where the professors will give lectures on specific topics - the participants will work in groups; each supervised by one or several of the professors. In these group sessions, the participants will get the opportunity to present and discuss their own research (methodological approach). To prepare for the discussions, fellow participants and faculty will receive your paper written prior to the conference. A new twist this year is that we will explore ways to use qualitative data, such as interviews, to do content analysis and computer simulations. Furthermore, software such and QSR NUDIST, will be demonstrated, and how it can aid the process of qualitative data analysis.
The conference language is English, and the papers should be written in English. Participants are expected to turn in a paper/proposal prior to the conference (July 15th), and a complete paper after the conference (December 20th 2006). Upon approval of the final paper, 10 ECTS is awarded.
