Bodø University College, Department of Social Sciences takes great pleasure in inviting you to the first Studying Contextual Practices doctoral course in Bodø 31st May – 2nd june 2006.

The course is intended for PhD students within the social sciences, but others may also apply. To obtain 5 credits PhD students must attend the course and write a paper (10-15 pages) for final evaluation within October 2^nd 2006. A draft or an abstract (1-2 pages) must be sent by e-mail within May 24^th.  The draft / abstract must be sent to synnoeve.tollaali@hibo.no , and will be made available for all the students and professors at the course. The draft / abstract will be commented at the paper session within the course. The final accreditation will be given by an internal and external examinator. This course can qualify as a subject specific course for the PhD degree. Students are advised to confer with their supervisor if in doubt.

The conference language is English, and the papers should be written in English or in Norwegian. The previous abstract / draft must be sent by e-mail within 24^th of May.

The complete paper must be delivered after the conference (October 2^nd  2006).  Upon approval of the final paper, 5 ECTS is awarded.
