Bodø University College, Department of Social Sciences takes great pleasure in inviting you to doctoral course in Comparative Social Policy in Bodø, October 16^th -17^th 2006.

The course is intended for PhD students within the social sciences, but others may also apply. To obtain 5 credits PhD students must attend the course and write a paper (10-15 pages) for final evaluation within January 15^th 2007. A draft or an abstract (1-2 pages) must be sent by e-mail within October 4^th 2006.  The draft/abstract must be sent to synnoeve.tollaali@hibo.no , and will be made available for all the students and professors at the course. The draft / abstract will be discussed in paper sessions during the course. The final accreditation will be given by an internal and external examiner. This course can qualify as a subject specific course for the PhD degree. Students are advised to confer with their supervisor if in doubt.

The conference language is English, and the papers must be written in English. The previous abstract/draft must be sent by e-mail within 4^th of October 2006 (send to Synnoeve.tollaali@hibo.no). The complete paper must be delivered after the conference (January  15^th 2007).  Upon approval of the final paper, 5 ECTS is awarded.
