- During the months of November, December and January, some of us may be suffering from a number of physical and mental problems, such as sleeping disorder and depression. This is known as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), and is most often caused by the lack of sunshine in the polar night. Artificial light has been known to ease, prevent or cure such problems. Therefore; the social service has installed a lamp in a "sunlight corner" in the library where you can try this out. There are also some smaller lamps in the reading room of the library. You are recommended to use the lamps in the morning to achieve the best results. The artifical light has no tanning effect and does not change your skin colour.
