Information for English årsenhet students in Indre Troms! The English Department has only very recently found new members of the teaching staff that will make it possible for us to give our English årsenhet at Bardufoss and Finnsnes, something that makes us very happy! However, the long period of gestation has made it difficult for us to do proper planning, and keep prospective students informed about matters such as preparations for the first seminars, changes in our course curriculum, compulsory readings etc. We sincerely regret this, and will do our best to compensate for it as we go along. You will soon receive an introductory letter from us, telling you about formalities related to the courses, when and where to meet up and other matters of importance. In the first meeting, you will meet Stefan Holander, Head of Department and teacher of Cultural Studies, and Miroslaw Wiacek, who teaches Language, Phonetics and Didactics in the first two meetings. Later, you will also be taught by Renee Waara (Language, Phonetics and Didactics) and Sandra Lee Kleppe (Cultural Studies). The course curriculum and semester plan that you will study by will be the same as for students who take the course in Alta and Kirkenes, with the possible exception that we do not yet know how to organize for the Speaking Practice option in Indre Troms.
