We discussed the tension between allowing individual, private space in addition to collaborative space in wikis vs. designing the task in a way that collaboration is the easiest and most natural way of solving it (tightly coupled).
Another emerging issue - especially in learning settings - was the question of assessment.
Furthermore, we found it necessary to define the "added value" of WIKIs compared to other technologies for collaboration.
We discussed also the need to link research on WIKIs to theory and to derive research questions from theories/ findings in the area of cscl.
