Teaching
- InterMedia invests a considerable amount of resources into research education, and in return research trainees contribute substantially to our research activities.
- Building on a collective, rather than an individual model of research organization, this dedication is manifested in the involvement of post doc candidates, PhD students and graduate students in collaborative research projects and other centre activities.
- In addition to individual and group-based supervision, post doc candidates, PhD students and graduate students are included in collective activities such as research meetings, reading groups and data analyses seminars.
- Research funding for post doc and PhD projects comes from various sources, mainly The Norwegian Research Council, The University of Oslo (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Education), and the EU. A large part of the management funding is spent on contributions and paper presentations at international conferences.
Post doc candidates
PhD students
- In addition to their involvement in InterMedia’s supervision and activities, the majority of our PhD students take part in The Research School Learning, Communication and ICT at The Faculty of Education, hosted by InterMedia.
- Each PhD candidate at InterMedia is also connected to various doctoral degree programmes at different departments and Faculties at the University of Oslo.
Graduate students
- InterMedia also hosts graduate students. We offer office space and supervision for a limited number of selected students who are writing their master theses in our subject fields. Download the application form here.
- The graduate students take active part in InterMedia research projects and collective research activities.
- InterMedia is involved in the CSCL module: The course provides an introduction to the basic problems in computers and learning, and in-depth coverage of key perspectives and theories in CSCL (Computer Supported Collaborative Learning). Module for the Technology, Organisation & Learning study program. Organizer: Anders Mørch
