Bodø University College offers several different options for sports and athletic training. There are indoor and outdoor football fields (one outdoor field that is heated for winter play), open areas for sports of all kinds, gymnasiums, weight training facilities, a rock climbing wall, and more.

BOSI – Bodø Studentenes Idrettslag (Bodø Student Sports) is the student group that arranges all sorts of sporting activities for students at BUC.  They currently offer: men's and women's football, basketball, handball, climbing, floorball, kickboxing, karate, squash, volleyball, badminton and the "funky jazz group" just to name a few.  More information about BOSI can be found near Entrance B on campus.  In addition, the international office pretends that it knows how to play baseball, and invites all international students to join!

For personal training, many students and faculty at BUC belong to Friskhuset, the local fitness centre.  Located just two minutes from campus, it offers strength training equipment, cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills, bikes, stair climbers and rowing machines.  They also offer courses several times a day that include many different levels of spinning, aerobics, cross-training, rowing, yoga, and "body pump", a high intensity total-body workout.  In addition, there are pools, saunas, and a daycare facility.  They work together with the Student Welfare Organisation and provide special prices and flexible contracts for students.
