A presentation of our capabilities
We can offer maintenance and repair services within a wide range of skills. One of our advantages is to accomplish rebuilding/modernizing projects within these skills.
Bjerkvik Technical Workshop (BTW) consists of 16,600 square meters building area divided in the main workshop in Bjerkvik and branch Osmarka near Evenes (Harstad/Narvik Airport). These are modern facilities buildt in 1986 and 1991.
Manning is for the time being 120 employees. Capital turnover was in 2004 120 MNOK .
The workshop consits of four departments:
- Electronics/weapons
- Vehicles
- Material upgrading
- Branch Osmarka
Electronics/weapons
ESD protected environment. Electronics repair including soldering of surface mounted devices and repair of multilayer printed circuit boards. Ability to repair all kinds of communications equipment, tv/radio, radar, echosounder, office appliances, laser equipment, light amplification equipment (NVGs), thermal search equipment, levelling instruments and airconditioning.
The weapons workshop is able to repair all kinds of weapons. Equipped for surface finishing and heatprocessing of small arms.
Vehicles

Service and repair of armoured vehicles, trucks and construction machines. Certified welding of steel and aluminium. Large capacity of blastcleaning and varnishing. Aligning of damaged trucks and trailers. Engines overhaul, testing and repair of turbos and injection pumps. Automatic and manual gearboxes. Production of brackets and holders. Any kind of agricultural- and construction machines with and without engine. Starters, generators and hot air units. Eberspächer and Webasto heaters. Stationary and mobile power generators. Facility for running tests of automatic gearboxes and engines up to 1000 hp.
Material upgrading
Accomplish rebuilding/modernizing projects within several skills. Developing and prototyping. 3D-modelling with Solid Works/Inventor. Production drawings and documentation such as spareparts catalogues, workshop- and users manuals.
Sertified inspection

BTW is certified for security inspection of lifting equipment, forklifts, truck- and bridge cranes, recovery vehicles and freight containers.
Quality approval
On the 1. of April 2005 we achieved an AQAP-2120 approval from the NDMA/Production Support Branch.(NATOs quality standard for civil vendors).
