More about the report
The Financial Stability Report discusses the risks facing the financial system, particularly credit, liquidity and market risk. We use the designations low, relativvely low, moderate, relativvely high and high risk in a qualitativve assessment of the degree of risk. Changes in the risk situation since the previous report are also evaluated. The risk assessment may be different for the short and for the long term.
The main conclusions of the report are summarised in a submission to the Ministry of Finance. The submission is discussed at a meeting of Norges Bank’s Executive Board. Norges Bank’s Annual Report on Payment Systems provides a broader ovverview of developments in the Norwegian payment system.
A press seminar is held in connection with the publication of the Financial Stability Report, and the report is published simultaneously on the Norges Bank website.
From 1998 to 1999 the Financial Stability Report was published in the Economic Bulletin under the heading Financial Sector Outlook. Subscribers to the Economic Bulletin will also receive the Financial Stability Report.
