A well developed and maintained infrastructure is absolutely necessary for modern society, and the value and consequence of said can be measured in several ways. The infrastructure in Norway is estimated to represent approximately 70 % of the nation's fixed assets, and the replacement value for key portions of this infrastructure is estimated to be at least 4400 billion NOK.
