Two new PhD-scholarships in "Resilient Global Logistics"

Two PhD scholarships are currently vacant related to the research program "Resilient Global Logistics." Scholarship 1 is allocated to the development of general theory and methodology of vulnerability analysis of global logistics systems, while scholarship 2 is allocated to vulnerability problems of maritime logistics. Both scholarships are defined in a rather broad sense and may be adapted to the competence and interests of potential applicants.

The book covers all aspects of maritime risk and safety from engineering and operational perspectives, as well as regulatory and health and safety requirements, this title is a useful guide for anyone in the field. The RAMS Group has been evaluated by the Research Council of Norway

The RAMS Group of the Department of Production and Quality Engineering has recently be evaluated by an international expert group appointed by the Research Council of Norway. The group was given the grade "Excellent" in all categories. You may read the evaluation report (mainly pp.24-25)

Fortellinger om risiko ("Tales about Risk")

Professor II Stein Haugen has written a story (in Norwegian) about risk and risk analysis in the newspapers Adressa and Stavanger Aftenblad (2004-12-02).

Risk Analysis - Continuing Education Course in Norwegian

The continuing education course Risikoanalyse will be arranged 24.-28. October and 5.-9. December 2005 at NTNU in Trondheim. The course is lectured in Norwegian.

New International Master Program in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS)

A new master (MSC) program in Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) will be launched from August 2005. The program is a two years' program. When you have completed the program, you will get the title MSc in Engineering, Program in RAMS.
