Documents and publications of the Storting

The proceedings of the Storting: a collection of the documents and records of the business of the Storting; issued in the nine following parts (each issue may consist of several volumes):

1. The Speech from the Throne, the State of the Realm Message, Proposition No. 1 to the Storting (the Fiscal Budget) and supplementary propositions
2. Other Propositions to the Storting
3. Reports to the Storting
4. Propositions to the Odelsting and Reports to the Odelsting
5. Documents filed with the Storting and its chambers, including Extracts of the Norwegian State Accounts (the annotations of the Office of the Auditor General), the annual reports from the Ombudsman institutions, private bills introduced in the Storting, etc.
6. Recommendations to the Storting and to the Odelsting, Odelsting Resolutions and Lagting Resolutions
7. Stortingstidende (the official report of the proceedings of the Storting in joint session)
8. Stortingstidende (the official report of the proceedings of the Odelsting and the Lagting) together with all of the legislative acts passed during the session
9. List of business submitted to the Storting, index of business and speeches

These records and publications are essential in order to provide documentation and information on all decisions taken by the Storting. One may obtain firsthand insight into the political system and the political processes by following each step of the various procedures involved in passing measures through the Storting.
