The Division of Research Management provides service and support to the University of Bergen's (UiB) central management, the faculties, departments, research groups and individuals. It reports directly to the University Director.
Day-to-day research administrative services cover a broad range of tasks, from assistance in initiating and preparing project proposals for Norwegian and international bodies to issues related to mobility, budgeting, contract negotiations, commercialisation and intellectual property rights.
SPIRE
The Strategic Programme for International Research and Education (SPIRE) aims to support the University of Bergen Internationalisation Strategy and raise the University´s international profile. SPIRE provides university seed money for building collaborative research and/or learning and teaching initiatives with the University´s strategic international partners.
