Objectives and content

The aim of the programme is to give a deep understanding of the nutritional requirements of fish and other farmed aquatic organisms. The programme covers research within broodstock nutrition (feed and feeding regimes, vitellogenesis, egg quality) and juvenile nutrition (embryo development, endogenous feeding, live feeds, first feeds), feed resources, growth and quality of food fish, as well as the interaction between nutrition and health (malnutrition, interaction with environment, nutritional immunology, production problems) and nutritional toxicology. The master's thesis can be within any of these topics.
