About StudentWeb
StudentWeb is an Internet service for students at UiO. In StudentWeb you can register your study progression and see what is registered about you as a student.
With username and password
Everyone studying at UiO is assigned a username and a password. If you do not remember your username and/or password, contact Student IT at the faculty. To be able to log in with a username and password, you must be currently admitted to a course or specific programme of study.
With Norwegian ID-number and a PIN-code
- Both current ('new') and earlier ('old') students may log in by using their Norwegian ID-number and a PIN-code
- New students will find their PIN-code on the giro sent to them for payment of the semester fee
- You can order a new PIN-code on the logon page for StudentWeb and have it sent by email to your UiO email address or the private email address you submitted when applying to study at UiO. If your email address is not registered at UiO, contact Knutepunktet
- You can obtain your PIN-code from the faculty’s information centre or at Knutepunktet by showing valid identification
Questions?
Why can't I register for classes on the course?
There could be several reasons:
- registration for courses takes place in defined periods. See Course registration deadlines.
- there might be a limited capacity for group teaching (contact the institute/faculty if you think place restriction is incorrect)
What should I do if I cannot register for a course and I get a message that the reason may be that the period for the individual education plan has expired?
If you are delayed in your studies, the period for your individual education plan can expire. In this this case, you should contact the study programme's administration and establish whether your individual education plan can be extended.
