From Oslo Airport to NLH
Cathrine Strømø
If I am not met at the airport, how do I find the NLH?
The distance from Oslo Airport to Ås and the Agricultural University of Norway (NLH) is 80 Km. Students are expected to find their own way to the university unless otherwise mentioned in the letter of award.
The easiest way to get there is to catch a bus.
NOR-WAY Bussekspress has departures every hour to and from Fredrikstad and Ski. Outside of rush hours (mid-day and late evening) there are fewer departures. The best option is to catch the Fredrikstad bus.Tell the bus driver to stop at Korsegården, located approximately 1 Km from the university, and continue by taxi. If requested the bus driver will have a taxi waiting for you at the bus stop. Alternatively, you may catch the Ski bus and continue by taxi or local bus from Ski. As Ski is located some 10 Km from NLH, taxi is an expensive alternative. Local bus #914 has departures from Ski every hour in the rush ours, and will take you directly to NLH.
Another alternative is to catch a train.
InterCity and Express Trains depart every half hour from Oslo Airport to Oslo Central Station. Train schedules are available at NSB Customer Phone +47 815 00 888, at the above link or your local railway station. From Oslo Central Station catch the local Moss train, departing every hour in the rush hours. Take the train to Ås, and continue by taxi to NLH (app. 1 km).
The Airport Express Train
(Flytoget) has frequent departures to Oslo, but is a very expensive alternative.
