Recognition?

Cathrine Strømø

The study period abroad should be a part of your university degree in Norway, and recognition of the study period abroad is therefore necessary to avoid delays in your studies.

The exchange programmes and Lånekassen (the State Educational Loan Fund) require that you get prior recognition from your programme of study before you travel abroad. A prior recognition guarantees that what you study abroad can be a part of your university degree in Norway.

When you have finished your studies abroad, you must make sure that you get a final recognition. Contact your department/programme of study for further information. They can also help you in finding the courses to attend at the foreign university.
